Tessa & Zach | Embers Venue | Rensselaer, Indiana

Sorry brides but I love criers. I know, I know – your makeup will be messed up. I don’t care because nothing is more honest, real, emotional and vulnerable than a good cry.

It is not just you brides. Grooms cry nearly just as much, and I love it. Fathers of the brides cry when seeing their daughters in The Dress for the first time. Best Men and Maids of Honor cry during toasts. Tessa’s wedding had many good cries. The best ones came throughout the whole Maid of Honor toast. It was a hybrid of cry and laughter like I have never seen before. You can not help but feel happy for them.

I was really excited to make it up to Embers for a wedding. I recall three years ago owner Ryan talking at the studio about this crazy renovation project up in my home town of Rensselaer Indiana.  All of the years of work seem to be well spent as the space is beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful, Tessa’s dress’s skirt had some texture that was wildly fun to play with. So much so that image 3 in this post is more or less just the skirt, Tessa’s hands and soft, soft window light.
