The sky had been overcast all morning, but this being Indiana it was difficult to tell if it wanted to pour down or just stay gloomy. It was around 11am and the girls had been getting ready for a few hours, when I overheard a conversation between a bridesmaid and Meganne:
“What will you do if it rains?”
“Get wet.”
Yup, my brides are awesome.
It ended up only raining during prep time and a light drizzle for some photographs. It did make walking in the grass difficult in heals so the girls just all carried their shoes down the aisle. I loved it. I love that magic that happens when things go slightly off plan. To me it is these moments that make the day uniquely yours. Moments like right after the ceremony when Tanner and Meganne exited down the aisle, went around the corner of the tent and immediately embraced and kissed again. Tory shot this and it is a four image story that is adorable. Watch for the Album design on Meganne and Tanner’s personal page to see it. The personal page will go live next week. Check back to this post to find a link to it.

Michael and Tory, you both were SUPERB! The pre-wedding conditions were less than optimal, and you got great shots in spite of downpours or drizzles. Thankfully, the rain subsided by wedding time [with the exception of a few drops after everyone was in the the tent for the ceremony (everyone, but you two)]. The photos posted so far are awesome! Three shots in particular warm my heart through and through – Daddy with MegAnne just before entering the tent to walk her down the aisle, as they are walking down the aisle, and her facial expression as he proposed a toast. From birth, he has carefully handled his daughters, and you captured that Father/Daughter love! I think it was truly a magical day for everyone!
Thanks Shirley. The moment right before a bride walks down the isle is most often my favorite. So few people get to see this part of a wedding. I feel privileged to be able to steal these these intimate moments with my camera.
