We do get requests to travel, and I always enjoy Indianapolis area weddings. In this case my Bride and Groom were a referral from another wonderful couple, Ashley and Parker (holy cow, has it really been nearly three years since they got married?). Time flies when you’re having fun, and it was just like being back with old friends on Saturday. Speaking of Saturday, the weather was terrific, I really couldn’t have asked for better. It was just warm enough that when someone shouted “Dairy Queen”, it was like a revelation. But I get ahead of myself…
It turns out that there’s a lot more to Danville than I realized, and I’ve been through the area several times. Mary Queen of Peace is a lovely ceremony site. A nice blend of modern amenities with a very pretty, timeless Sanctuary. After a very fun session at the church with the families, the Bridal Party ventured to the Danville Square. I swear I could smell the donuts from a local shop but perhaps that was my imagination as they were actually closed! Of course Dairy Queen was just a few blocks away. One of the party asked “are we actually ordering” to which I replied “Are you crazy?! Of course we are!” Such an easy Bridal Party to work with – we were ahead of schedule nearly all day – others take note!
My donut cravings were not to be ignored. Turns out that Hillary or Steven (or both) follow after my own heart, as they had a tower of glazed donuts in place of a traditional cake! Oh my gosh, I was in Seventh Heaven! Even funnier was that Rebecca was Snapchatting (snapping? I don’t know the terminology) about a taco craving early in the day, and of course what was for dinner? Taco Bar! Ok, I’d better switch gears before this entire post is about food!
Thank you Hillary and Steven for trusting us with capturing these once in a lifetime moments. Looking forward to creating and presenting them with their album and other heirlooms. Thank you to Rebecca for lending her own special talents as well.
