UPDATE: Chrissy and Ben’s website is up!
Early on in the day, Chrissy mentioned to me that she loved the way bubbles photographed and said we should do a shot with the bubbles she had for her recessional. Fast forward a few hours and one short thunderstorm later – the sun had come back out just in time to set. This created one of those burnt-orange epic sunsets behind the large wall of windows in Ross-Ade, right behind the dance floor. My second shooter Becky noticed this and said to me “they (the bride and groom) need to get on the dance floor!”
When I found Chrissy I recalled what she had told me earlier in the day and asked the Maid of honor to find the bubbles and some bridesmaids and blow them at Chrissy and Ben on the Dance floor. I let DJ Powder from Rat Pak know what we were organizing and requested he play something slow for the bride and groom. Powder called over everyone and their bubbles to the dance floor to circle the bride and groom. He also turned off all his dance floor lights leaving Becky and me with just wonderful gold and blue light, a couple on the dance floor and bubbles.
I love collaborating to make something amazing.
