Last weekend I made it out to see six different local bands here in Lafayette. I wasn’t able to photograph them all, but I did get some pretty cool stuff of a few.
First up is Chemcoma, a young, hard-rocking group. They’ve appeared on my blog in the past, and if you order their CD you’ll see some of my images included on it.
After their set, I ventured down to The Knickerbocker, one of my band’s favorite venues, BTW, to catch the Future Lovers. They’re kind of a poppier version of the Ramones, and lots of high energy fun. Tim, the bass player, is also a good friend.
Last up on Friday night was Big Joe Honeywagon, an eclectic mix of interesting folks and sounds, including steel guitar, banjo, fiddle, saxophone, trombone and lots more. They were performing that evening at Skylight Coffee, a mostly all-ages venue downtown.
