Every now and again I hear someone complain about “kids these days” and how scared they are for the next generation. While I believe their parents probably said the same things about them, I also don’t think these people have met the same “kids” that I have. I once read an interview with Director Joseph Kahn and what he said regarding the next generation stuck with me. He makes the argument that due to all the constant information coming at them from every direction, teenagers have become smarter, more creative, and more aware of the media. The next generation is the least racist, least sexist, least homophobic in all of history.  I believe that the internet and the global media saturation is a big part of this.

Long story short Bjorn, like so many high school seniors I meet in my line of work, has me feeling positive about the future.
