Sonnie Brand & David Boudia | Wedding Photography | Indianapolis Roof Ballroom | Indianapolis, IN

UPDATE: Sonnie and David’s site is now live! Right now you can enjoy a slide show of additional images and next week check back for the Signature Print. The album design will follow, as will all the wedding proofs. In the mean time click “Purchase Images” and get registered with an email address right now, that way you’re directly notified every time a new element goes live. Enjoy!

I’m not going to lie, we feel a certain amount of pressure to perform at every wedding. What do you feel when one of your clients has succeeded at the highest level of his field, upping the ante a bit?

Fortunately for me, I felt right at home at Friday’s event thanks to Karalee Brand. What an amazing mother! I had photographed for Sonnie’s sister, Jordan, two years ago and when Karalee contacted me about covering Sonnie and David’s wedding the answer was obvious. The entire Brand family show a tremendous amount of love and support for one another on days like these, but from what I can tell it is typically Karalee that makes everyone’s day a special one with her foresight, effort and care. Bravo!

Thanks to Michael, Tory and Karalee my job was actually quite easy. I spent my early day with Sonnie and her girls, Michael with David and the Groomsmen. Tory provided lighting assistance all day along with coverage of the ceremony and reception with Michael and I. It was this sharing of responsibility that kept any one of us from feeling overwhelmed.

What about the actual event? Gorgeous. The Roof Ballroom is one of my favorite venues to work in, with every amenity imaginable and an extremely attentive staff. The room itself is breathtaking… literally. The first time I entered it through it’s curtains I was in awe. Jim Cerrone was the emcee for the event and again, there is none better. White Iris and Mammaw’s for flowers and the cakes (don’t forget that incredible Groom’s cake!)? Lafayette’s finest, you did us proud!

I had so much fun playing with Sonnie and David in downtown Indy! Lucky for me I get to continue the fun for several weeks as I edit images, design the album and more!

So what’s next? I need some time to organize these 4,000+ images, so check back Wednesday, October 24th for the next installment!
