Please nobody tell Oliver that “The Twos” are supposed to be terrible. I don’t think he has figured it out yet.
One of the my secrets to photographing toddlers is to simply not fight what they want to do. Sure, we (the adults in the room) may make activity suggestions, but at the end of the day, it is the kid who is really in charge. If you fight with him or her to try and get a specific pose or smile then all you are going to get is grumpy tears. Let a kid be a kid, then just keep your camera dialed in and document. That’s how I prefer to do it anyway.
