Choosing which images to include in Adalynn’s one-year blog was a serious task. I must’ve said it a dozen times at our apple orchard/pumpkin patch portrait session…she’s just too easy. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to watch this sweetheart grow. She’s such a charmer. And she’s quite the social creature — so effortlessly winning the hearts and smiles of whoever she encounters. She’s learned the first mode of communicating with strangers…a smile and a wave. It’s awesome to see her personality develop.

We were determined to make a trip to Wea Creek Orchard, no matter what the weather had in store. We changed the session a few different times, attempting to dodge the rain, and finally settled on Sunday afternoon, even though it was cloudy and rain was in the forecast. Lucky us, it was perfect. The warm sunshine peaked out just enough for us to capture some great moments. Wea Creek has a special place in my heart, as it is where my husband and I were married 3 years ago. Perry, one of the owners of the farm, is always so gracious and accommodating. He’s the type of person that makes you feel loved even if you’re a perfect stranger. We took Adalynn to the apple orchard first, and then took a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. What a sweet little family and easy-going session. So happy to see this awesome family again and I look forward to a spring session when Adalynn will be 18 months!

Here’s a larger-than-average set of images from Sunday’s photo session, because I just can’t help myself! 🙂
