Oh man, this little angel baby made my job too easy at her newborn session last Saturday. Newborn sessions are best shot within a week or two (at max) following birth, but Cari and John’s babies like to come early. Penelope was 4 weeks early, and at our session, she was 4 weeks old. Which essentially means she was term. Snug as a bug in a rug..she is sure to be a heartbreaker…what a beautiful baby girl she is. And not much fuss at all – just down to business. Look at that face. For me, its just what the doctor ordered. I absolutely love doing newborn sessions. Albeit challenging — they fill a void for a mother who’s babies are growing too fast (any mother, really :)). I loved the opportunity to meet her and see the Orozco family grow. Oliver was a peach on the sidelines, but too small to try and coordinate a sibling shot without rocking the boat. They are very close in age – and no doubt he will come to know the gift that a sibling is as they grow.

I couldn’t have asked for an easier flow. It helps to know the client; I’ve had the pleasure of documenting Oliver’s newborn session, as well as Cari’s second pregnancy maternity shoot. It created a more comfortable environment, with very little surprises. Penelope is perfect! I didn’t want the session to end. Congratulations to Cari, John and Oliver as they experience some of the best moments and memories of their life!

Here is a sample of my favorite images from Saturday.
