Ei-ichi Negishi | Nobel Prize in Chemistry | Purdue University

It isn’t every day that you’re invited by Nobel Media to provide photographs of the new Nobel Laureate for a documentary film… in fact, it’s probably a once in a lifetime honor. Here’s a small sampling of the images – I know they’ll eventually be used for film, print and web, but right now I don’t know much more than that.

Thank you to Kathy and Dave for their patience and help (I love listening to British accents, don’t you?), Mike for his unending assistance, and of course Dr. Negishi for allowing us the use of his time. A very kind and gracious man – and I think it’s evident from his warm smile!

Price Increases Coming Jan. 1st 2011

Yes, it’s true. I haven’t raised prices since about 2006! So, as I pondered the dos and don’ts of price increases, I discovered that I could actually offset the increase with a higher quality product in many cases. I call that a win-win. There are a few cases where pricing was simply a little low. I can say for sure that the Wedding disc of high resolution files (with copyright release) is going up, so if you’ve been considering calling for a wedding booking, don’t delay – call now! Current pricing is good until January 1st. 2011.

Small Business of the Month | Lafayette, IN

Greater Lafayette Commerce awarded Image Source Photographic with small business of the month for October!  Dave gave a heart warming speech recounting all the people who have helped and supported him along the way. His mother for encouraging him to pursue art, his wife for supporting the demanding life of a small business owner, his good friend Chris Voglund of Artisan Electric for his expert help in all things construction. The shining moment for me was when Dave paid respect to his high school Photography teacher (Tom Shafer) who was in the audience still supporting his student after all these years.

Ribbon Cutting Photos | Greater Lafayette Commerce Events

To celebrate our first full year at our new location at 505 Main Street in Lafayette, Greater Lafayette Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting Event on Wednesday, October 29. A big thank you to Joy Page for organizing such a nice event, my apprentice Mike Dick for taking photos, running errands, running cable in my scary basement so that the flat screen would work and generally being my Right Hand Man.

Rubia Flower Market
did a wonderful job of designing some flower arrangements (as you can see from the photos), Bistro 501 came through yet again with miscellaneous supplies that I never seem to have on hand (my favorite neighbors) and Main Street Cheese and Wine Cellar provided some very nice refreshments.

Thank you to Mayor Tony Roswarski and State Representative Sheila Klinker for taking the t...
