Jadelyn Clugh | Paint | Senior Portrait | Jeff High School

How to have fun on a rainy day.

step 1-Put up tarps

step 2-Throw paint

step 3-Take photos!

Jadelyn wanted to do something outside the box for her senior portraits. While brain storming ideas over the phone this one seemed to stick out. Originally this was to be shot the same day as her fall colors shoot but logistically it just would not have been possible. So we rescheduled only to have it rain just as the lights were being set up outdoors. Determined to get the shots, we moved into the garage and made it happen. The whole thing turned out to be a riot! So much fun, I highly recommend you try it. Just make sure you buy washable paint!

Jadelyn | Fall Colors | Senior Portrait | Jeff High School

I was going to originally shoot Jadelyn at the start of the school year. When I called to schedule she made the decision to wait for fall colors. While I was disappointed at the time, these images clearly show that she was right to wait. Jadelyn was a total trooper putting in the extra effort of climbing fences, falling in creeks, and making friends with mysterious creatures moving in the tall grass. Going the extra mile to get the shot!!!

Dave paid me the highest complement upon seeing the final result. “This is as good as any portrait I have shot.” Coming from a photographer of his caliber this is high praise.

Bloomington | Retro | Wedding

I have not been back to Bloomington since I was a student down at IU. The town is just as beautiful as I remember it, and so was the wedding that brought me back down. Props to Mackenzie and Trever for planning a wedding in the Buskirk-Chumley Theater! It was a great non-traditional venue, and lets face it – theater lighting on a stage is just a pleasure to shoot. Many great moments: Trever coming to tears when he saw Mackenzie walking down the isle, Mackenzie being carried back off the stage, and of course drinks at Nick’s with friends afterwords.

Lindsey | Modern Studio Portrait

Early this year a friend of mine introduced me to his brother, who as he mentioned had an enormous interest in photography, and a good bit of education and experience to boot. One thing has led to another, and as some of you already know, I have taken on a new apprentice! His name is Michael Dick. He’s young (but not so young as to make me look old), he’s smart (but not so smart as to make me look… not smart… maybe he does), and he’s naturally talented.

Michael will be working alongside me from here out, and also taking on his own projects under the ISPhotographic banner. You’ll see that he has his own version of the logo, and you’ll also see a more detailed bio as well as dedicated package pricing for his projects.

Without further fanfare, here’s one his first studio sessions: Lindsey!
