Wabash Landing felt like a little mini resort on Saturday. The girls were getting ready with hair and makeup at Evan Todd, meanwhile right across the walkway the guys were enjoying beer, food, and football at Scotty’s Brewhouse. The hotel where everyone changed was literary right around corner. Across the street the walking bridge and Heritage trail made for some fun location shots. Removing travel time and keeping the first half of the day in a 2 block radius, compounded with Ali and Carson’s easy going temperament made for one of the easiest, most relaxing wedding mornings I have ever “worked”.
Stay tuned to the this post for the next month. I will have a personalized page, with a slide show and signature print this Friday, followed by the album design and proofs shortly after.

Something about Monticello and ISPhotographic produces unique experiences… Our second visit this year equated to our second-ever wedding to lose electricity during the event. No matter – in both instances we soldiered on, achieving some of the most beautiful results I could imagine. In fact, Amanda’s candle-lit decor almost provided better ambiance than when her reception was lit. Perhaps they should have left the lights off?!? Nah, probably not.
At any rate, I’ve really enjoyed working with Amanda and Brett – they’re both fairly quiet people, which allows me the freedom to jabber… something I do well. They also allow me the freedom to run with whatever I like, creatively speaking. They fulfilled my long standing desire to do a “carny” themed Engagement Session (at the one and only Indiana Beach), I talked Amanda into a hanger with her name, and they also provided me another unique opportunity… you’ll have to tune in later in the week to see more!
I also discovered that we have a common interest in motorcycling – I’ve been promised we’d ride together eventually!
Here are my favorites for now, expect their personalized website to launch on Friday, so check back then!
Did you know we travel anywhere in the Indiana/Chicagoland area for weddings at no charge? That can sometimes translate into engagement sessions as well. Recently I made the long, winding drive down US41 to Evansville, Indiana to do a planning session/engagement shoot with Ali and Carson. We shot on the University of Evansville campus. I felt right at home shooting the whole time, partly because Ali and Carson were both such friendly people, but also because the campus was a nice balance of green and concrete, just like Purdue’s Campus. Carson was a bit camera-shy but you would never know it from how naturally he photographs. Here are a few of my favorites.

Tippy Connect is an organization I have been a part of for nearly a year now. They focus on helping young professionals with networking, professional development and community involvement. If you would like to learn more about the organization you can talk to me, check out the web page, or facebook. The event was a blast the whole time. The overcast sky on Saturday was not only fantastic photography weather (cloud cover means nothing but soft, pleasing light), but also great running weather (warm but not hot). As a runner myself I was pleased to see how much support the race had. Pretzels, Gatorade, Great Harvest bread, time clock, music, and of course lots and lots of water. Enjoy 32 of my favorite images, they tell the story of the day better than I ever could with words.

UPDATE: Lindsey and Nate’s personalized website is up! Enjoy the slideshow images, and watch for the Signature Print in a few days. Make sure and click on “Purchase Images” and register to be notified when each new element goes live… like the album design and the proofs!
I’ve revealed to many of my clients that I have strange dreams the nights leading up to a wedding. Usually based around some sort of anxiety, a typical wedding dream might involve the bride starting down the aisle, but I have no batteries in my camera. Or no memory card. You get the idea.
With Lindsey and Nate I had no dreams. No anxiety, no doubts. I’m sure she’s sick of hearing it by now, but after just a few hours around Lindsey I feel as though I’ve known her for years. Having heard Judith’s toast I now understand that Lindsey imparts that feeling of understanding and acceptance to most everyone she meets. She’s a sweetheart. That’s all there is to it.
So, I simply knew I had no worries heading into the event. What I didn’t foresee, but should have, was Micheal’s outstanding work from the day. His images give mine a run for their money, shot for shot. He’s truly grown into a special talent.
Thank you to Nate and the groomsmen. Very attentive and ready to make the day a special success. Not one complaint, nothing but class. Thanks to the families for their generous hospitality. The wedding venue was stunning. I felt transported to another world… it’s sounds kinda sappy but it’s true. Hats off to those catering the event, too, their staff saw to our every need.
So here are my 32 initial favorites. Check back in Friday for the link to Lindsey and Nate’s personalized website, where I’ll unveil their Signature Print, album design and much more!
