On Abby and Ben’s wedding day there was a snow storm to deal with on top of all the other challenges of a wedding day. Yet to their credit they took everything in stride and with grace. Two families not only came together but worked together. Friends and family pitched in with car pools (or more accurately truck pools) to get everyone up the iced over hill to the reception. The reception was a bit outside the box as it was held in a converted horse barn. Christmas lights and candles made for some great atmosphere, and some great photos.

Dave has been our photographer for family photos over the last few years and also for our daughter’s wedding in the fall of 2010 and we LOVE working with him! We used one of Dave’s family photos for our Christmas card a couple years ago and also this year. And we still have people comment about that particular picture 2 years ago because it was so memorable. One of our friends said it even brought a sentimental tear to her eye because it was just so personal and true to who our family is.
Then for our daughter’s wedding this past fall, Dave did a fantastic job, and to tell you the truth, we had so many amazing and personal shots yet I don’t hardly remember seeing him through the evening because he was like the invisible photographer, getting so many amazing shots but not interrupting our enjoyment of the evening at all. The emotional look of my husband as he looked upon our daughter was captured. The tender personal vows, the humorous toasts and the celebrating guests…every emotion was captured by Dave and his staff.
We will definitely use him again for our other daughter’s wedding.
We also love the signature album that he puts together and we were able to purchase some really cute brag book versions for the grandparents along with a medium size for us and the larger size for our daughter and her new husband. They were beautiful! It has been a joy working with Dave. And he now feels like a family friend and we recommend him highly!
My friend Mass Giorgini of Sonic Iguana Studios is currently recording the new album for Dusty Trip of Madrid, Spain. Mass wanted to know if I had the time to do a quick photo shoot with the band… suuuure… why not? What a nice group, I really enjoyed having everyone here at the studio today. That’s Dan Lumley of Squirtgun fame with the drumsticks – he’s tracking the album with the band. I wouldn’t recommend clicking on the images if you’re offended by tattoos, mohawks or obscene gestures!
